Made: Project Sewing 101- Quilted Coasters
This week I've got a double "Made" feature for you folks! I've been a sewing champ lately, and I want to get my blog pals caught up with my progress!
Continuing on with my Project Sewing 101 quilting chapter, the second project was to create a set of 4 coasters with a plaid quilted design. (You can see the first quilting project here, showcased last week).
This project was pretty straight forward, quick, and easy as well. It was great additional practice for me with using the presser foot as a guide to make straight lines. I know the edges of my coasters don't look all that straight and the corners could be popped out a bit more, but I think I did decently well with this one.
No need to dwell here! Next up, quilted place mats. I'm already a busy been quilting away on them as the quilting is in a concentric circles pattern. It's been challenging, but they're coming out nicely so far- can't wait to share.
And, stay tuned folks, because at the conclusion of this chapter I'm planning to give away some of my best projects so far!!!
