Since I'm still fully engulfed in project home reno., I haven't been sewing, so have nothing new to show. However, I have been making jam like a beast lately (for our wedding favors in case I haven't talked about it enough- lol).
Strawberries are in season at the farmer's market, so I've been seeing red! I thought I'd show a bit about my process today:
1. Hull strawberries.
2. Crush them & scoop them into a measuring cup.
3. Mix strawberries & fruit pectin according to recipe- bring to a hard boil.
Add sugar, bring to boil again & boil hard for 1 minute.
4. Pack into jars, process in canner, enjoy!

They look great, Nancy! Thanks for giving us a look into your process. Good luck with the painting and the jam!
Wow that's a lot of strawberries. Thanks for the sharing the process. I have not done any canning before, it does not look as hard as I thought it would be.

Yummy! I have to do some to my son. He loves strawberries and he's fond of jam! Is it a mistake if I crush them with a mixer??? (
Mmmmm.....strawberry jam. What a cool idea to use your homemade jam as wedding favors!
