Goodbye bathing suit lounge sessions, goodbye nice weather, goodbye 4th of July & fresh fruit. Goodbye weekend beach trips and prolific guest room sleepers. Goodbye spur of the moment evening outings. Goodbye jean shorts and breezy, airy dresses. Most of all, goodbye to the color blue...soon our senses will be overwhelmed with deep, rich tones in orange, yellow, and brown. Boo. (Well, I'm sure I'll be singing their praises in no time- I'm just feeling sad and mean right now.)

Nancy, I feel exactly the same. It started raining again and temperatures have dropped, so it really must be the end of summer...
I love that photo effect in the top right - that's something I should be able to achieve with my new DSLR...we'll see ;-)
I'm not ready for summer to end but last night it got down to 50 outside and we had the fan in the sliding glass door which meant we had freezing kitties under the covers! We always had to keep the house so cold for Sadie so now we need it cold to be comfortable too. Love your finds especially those earrings!
Labor Day Weekend always signals the end of summer to me too! Can't believe it's already here!!!

Autumn is my absolute favorite season so I'm always ready to wave goodbye to summer this time of year :).
I love that beach photograph. I actually stumbled on that the other day and am thinking of ordering it for our bedroom art. It's so peaceful.
ugh summer is totally over in Germany and I hate it. At least I got to wear shorts for a couple of months, sigh.

You're right, the colors are changing. We don't see a lot of blue in Oklahoma, except for the sky. I was in the clothing store yesterday, to buy some sale items (!) and I saw oranges and purples! {:-D
I feel your sadness! Less time will be spent outdoors which is so depressing. This collection is so pretty. I love the water photograph.
