On the Up and Up.

I want to thank you all so much for your well wishes and kind word regarding this post.  I'm feeling much better now, still experiencing a bit of dizziness and in need of limited activity and frequent breaks and rests.   It's rough to deal with for me, one who is used to being almost hyper-active each day.

I'm sitting in bed, flipping through magazines, reading blogs here and there and thinking, I was just on the cusp of a great new routine- I was going to be prolific with sewing projects and start development of my new line to debut at a craft show this coming holiday season.  I was in a groove with working out, canning, and I miss cooking every day.  Boo Hoo.

It's a bit dramatic, don't you think?

I have it so good.  I am lucky enough to have the most loving husband in the world, who, despite his horrendously rough work schedule these past few months has taken a few days off to walk me up and down the stairs, has been cooking my meals, and taking care of me.  I have the most amazing friends & family calling just to see how I'm doing, to put a smile on my face, and having their kids send me drawings.  Not to mention the injury could have been much worse in any number of ways.

I'm so lucky.  And this is what I need to brand on my forehead to remember.  Despite all of the things I may be missing out on this week and next, I'm fortunate enough to not have to miss out on the most important things in life.

Oh Nancy! I somehow missed your last post - how awful!
Glad to read you are getting better, and that you are well taken care of. I know you are probably itching to get going again but try to take it easy for a bit longer. It was a pretty heavy concussion after all.

I think I would be feeling the same! I've gotten so accustomed to a busy schedule, I would feel so bored if I couldn't keep up with it. But yes, You are So lucky. Perhaps this is just a reminder to slow down now and then :)
Wishing you a swift recovery <3

Great post. I'm feeling a bit the same way. Being five months pregnant and stuck on the couch with a broken ankle is quite frustrating. BUT I have had so many amazing people helping me out and taking care of me that I feel very thankful.

I'm glad you are feeling better and getting taken care of :)

Sometimes taking a step back and looking at things in perspective makes us realize how lucky we are. You're one lucky gal :)

I'm late in reading some of your more recent posts, but am sorry to hear about your concussion. Hope you feel better soon--I remember having something similar happen to me when I was a child, and was out of commission for a couple of weeks while I healed. I'm glad your husband is so supportive! Take it easy.

Oh, gees, that is tough to stay put, isn't it? Our friend, Fain, had a concussion this summer and it took awhile for her to get "normal" again. She was laughing because she caught herself shoplifting! She found something in her pocket that she didn't pay for, so she had to return to pay for it!

Those concussions are TOUGH! Don't rush your healing.
