Hi friends! How was your week so far?? Thanks to my lovely new schedule, I've been able to find plenty of time this week to sit at my sewing machine and catch up on the pile of projects that have been accumulating there! Here's one of them:
FINALLY. Finally I finished a project that's been on the back burner for um....(looking at watch) only about 3 months! So back in June, we moved furniture around in the guest room and I refinished a few new & old pieces, and even made pillows and curtains for this room.
What was missing? This lovely bench pad of course.
I did attempt to make it back then. I really did. But I ROYALLY messed up. In several, unfixable ways. So, I ordered new fabric and threw that one in my "fabric graveyard" pile to be scrapped for other future projects.
But, then our wedding reception came along, we had company for a while, and other projects and life just got in the way. But finally last week I found the fabric I had ordered and decided to just get it done already!

It looks great! And that's an awesome fabric, too.
I've been stalling on about 100 things. School is always more time consuming than I anticipate, and this week was especially bad. I hope to paint the bathroom this weekend, though!
The bench pad looks great and that fabric is fantastic.
I have a ton of unfinished projects that need to be done. Someday I'll get around to them ;-)

Looks fantastic!! That fabric is so great. I have the cushion fabric in navy and you've convinced me I need brown too :). You've created such a calming space. Any guest would love to spend time there.

I dunno, I feel like nothing is done around here lately. But winter comes and then I'm back to catching up.
I have a quilt sitting in the closet that is 1/4 hand-quilted. I really need to finish that thing. Thanks for the reminder. GRRRRRRRR.
