Friday Updates- Buried Under Piles of Work!

Happy Friday all!

Unfortunately (and fortunately as well) I've been a bit blindsided/ distracted by life lately.  Between my forced hiatus and unforced ones, I've not been working on the new line.  Big sigh...my desk still looks like this, with piles of new fabric all ready to go:

This leaves me with an intense choice to make:  The plan was to have my new line all ready for a holiday show I was planning to do (Dec 8th, apps due by Oct 26) so that I could test the market with them a bit.  Since I've got absolutely no progress on them, or for that matter, anything else I might take to the show, I've got to make a quick decision.  I'm also a bit unexperienced with shows, having only 2 under my belt- but is one of the ones I did last year.

So, that brings me to the big question: Should I go ahead and apply, and just wing it, or should I forget about it for this year, take my time with the line, and try again come spring?

I'm kind of thinking I should just go for it.  I've got a few older items I'd like to see go, and it would be nice to test out the waters with the new stuff, even if I can only make a few of each item.

Question: If you were me, what would you do?

That's a tough decision. Best of luck with whatever you decide.

Go for it! It'd be great experience and you still have a month to get ready so just do your best getting things done and have fun!

Tough call. I'm 8 days away from an annual show where I've vended the past 2 years, and I'm woefully unprepared this year. But I'm going to go anyway.

I say go for it! I've been doing shows for 7 years, and very rarely have I felt completely prepared for them. Actually, I have one this weekend (as in tomorrow) and this is the first one in recent memory where I feel relatively prepared.
You can do it! Get what you can done, and have the option for custom orders.

You know me...I'm a "Go For It" kind of gal :)
It's a great chance to get the old items gone and test the new line. It's nice to have people look at and hold your products and get honest feedback on the spot.

I say go for it, Nancy. It will be a great chance to test things out and a good motivator to make progress on the new line. Of course, I don't know much of anything about shows so take my advice with a grain of salt :). Good luck with whatever you decide!!

It does not matter what you do, you won't feel prepared. I never do when I do shows, and I have done 100's in the last 15 years. Make what you can, take what you have, and enjoy a day of talking with customers about your new products. I am sure you will have a great show.
