Friday Updates- Getting Back into the Groove.

Last week I mentioned getting back on the healthy track once I started feeling better.  However, come Monday, I just couldn't face a smoothie yet- they can be kind of a hassle to make in the morning!  So, I decided to compromise: I'd do a bit more baking for a "grab and go" type breakfast, but make a healthier option.

So, I consulted a recipe mag I recently picked up, and found the perfect recipe: Blueberry Buckwheat muffins.  These are made with butternut squash puree, so you get your fruit & veg in them.  They also use buckwheat & spelt flour instead of all purpose, so you have some nutrition there as well.  They certainly don't tase sugary & amazing, but they're better for me than last week's blueberry cake, that's for sure!

The motherload:  Finally got in most of the supplies I ordered last week.  As you can see, I've got my work cut out for me!  Or should I say, I have to get started cutting!  This is a sneak peak of some of the fabrics I'll use in my new line and the ensuing chaos they've caused on my desk!

Also bought a few skeins of yarn to get started on some holiday gifts!  Here's one project I've started on: a light and airy mohiar cowl.

And finally, the 50% off sale in my etsy shop is still going strong! Here's some of what's left me forever:

I'm so happy to see the last of my scarves gone!!  I'm planning to duck out of the knitwear scene on etsy: I just haven't found it to be that profitable for me.  So, it's nice to have the last of that out of the shop!  There's plenty more left though, why don't you cruise on in and pick up some holiday gifts?

fun new supplies!
I think it's rather strange what I sell in person and what I sell online--very different.
The muffin sounds good to me. I don't like super sugary anyway. One can change one's taste buds over time.

Your fabric collection looks fantastic. I can't wait to see all the new stuff you create. The muffins look really good, and I love that idea of cooking once and being able to eat all week.

It looks like a great range of fabric! And that muffin looks tasty.. I actually prefer muffins to be not at all sweet tasting, so I bet I would like it. I usually will have them with my too sweet coffee, lol, so they usually balance each other out! ha!
