As we come to mid-October, it's that time of year again when those of us who love to make handmade gifts for the holidays should get cracking on this year's slew (if we haven't already!). Last year I vowed to make gifts for all of my nieces, nephews, and friends' kids. If you are a long time reader, you may remember some of these:
|1. Knit Elephant 2. Knit Spider 3. Knit Infant Hats |
4. Star Crayons 5. Knit Animals 6. Knit Hulk
7. Knit Purse 8. Gift Boxes 9. Knit Play Purse
This year, I plan to be a bit more ambitions, time permitting. The goal is to make things for not only the very same kids again, but also for some of the adults- starting with family and working my way outwards! It should be quite crazy, and I may not really make it, but I'm gonna try!
Last year most of what I made was knitted, which is way time consuming. This year though, since I now know how to sew, I plan to do a mix of knit items and sewn items which should save some time (I hope!).
You've already seen some of the patterns I've bought and plan to get going on. I'm a bit nervous, because I've just finished making and sending out fall birthday stuff, so we'll see how it goes, but I'm looking forward to updating you on my progress soon!!
Question: Are you planning on making any gifts for the holidays?
