Happy Friday all! This past week has really flown by, mostly due to a crazy to do list coupled with my race training schedule. I've also have a bit of an announcement regarding my continued de cluttering of my online schedule.
I'll start with the big news. Many of you know that I've written for my beloved site A Little Etsy Love for two years now. I've lead it for just under one year. It's been a crazy ride, and I'm so happy with all of the benefits the site has reaped for me over this time including new contacts, friends even, a chance to learn even more about the business of blogging, social networking, SEO, and all of that administrative type stuff. However, ever since I wrote this article about deleting many of my personal social networking accounts I just couldn't stop thinking that maybe it was also time to move on from A Little Etsy Love too.
I've worked really hard writing here over the years, enjoyed it greatly, and plan to continue at least through the holidays. But I just know that continuing on as their leader isn't for me for a myriad of reasons both personal and business related.
|I finally ordered a stamp for my labels! More on that later.|
In other news, this week has been semi-productive creatively. I say that because I did have the chance to complete a few new items for my holiday show coming up in early December, but of course it's never nearly enough! I have figured a way around this though: I only signed up for a 6 foot table, so my space will already be limited due to the larger nature of my products. I decided all I can do is make what I can, and then I'll fill in the gap with a fabric swatch board and take custom orders (hopefully!) from folks who like what they see but would like the designs in different colors. This will be perfect anyway as this line is brand new and I don't plan to put anything in my shop until after the holidays, so that will make it even more special (again, hopefully!) to folks that they are getting something that hasn't yet hit the market.
And finally, the 5k count down continues! I've been working really hard, getting my body used to running again every day. I do take rest days when my body says to, and I'm ever aware of when I should hold back vs. when I can get away with pushing my speed or my run distance. Because of this, I'm proud to say that I'm running about the same types of workouts that I was pre-concussion, so that's great news! I've got just one full week left before the race, which is on the 18th, but I'll be ready!
Question: What have you been up to this week?
