Project Sewing 101

Meet my sewing machine, The Brother XR-7700:

I saw you eyeing me, in your evil, coy way.

My wonderful hubby to be got this beast for me as a lovely, well intentioned gift.  I tried to use it.  And failed.  And tried so more, and just threw every ill-stitched and wasted zipper project in the trash.  I decided I was in over my head and that it was time to call in for reinforcements!

So, I picked up a copy of Ellen Luckett Baker's 1-2-3 Sew, and swore to work through every single (yup, that's right- all 33) project in the book.  Here's my progress & accounts:
